underappreciated genius surgeon

Michael, though antisocial and isolated, is a fairly good father. He has dedicated his entire life to a frankenstein-like quest towards transhumanism, a project which he believes will finally bring him the recognition he’s yearned for since adolescence. He is full of bitterness and coincidentally also of dislike for his beloved daughter’s best friend, who he sees as a terrible influence (as well as just stupid and annoying) but even still he has to spend many weeks in an echochamber justifying the act to himself before he’s finally able to use her as his subject. In his eyes, Daisy Finnegan serves no value to society and would not be missed if she - as she currently exists - were to be removed from history; and even so, the fate he would be granting her was one she ought to be thankful for. Was he not ascending her to the next step of human existence?

sofia smiles, raises an eyebrow

d: what, you don't think i'm pretty?

sofia (still smiling) looks down, doesn't respond

j: am i fred then or still scooby

d: you're fred. sofias dad can be scooby

s: no my dad's the guy in the mask
